La Haine is a French film directed by Mathieu Kassovitz and released in 1995 that narrates the lives of three young misfits of the society (a Jew, an Arab and a black) in a suburb of Paris in the middle of the 90. Among other distinctions, La Haine obtained multiple nominations for the 1996 César Award and Kassovitz was awarded Best Director at the 1995 Cannes International Film Festival.
